Frequently Asked Questions

Basset Brain Academy is a systematic educational program designed to enhance attention, concentration, and critical thinking in preschoolers. It also supports fine motor development and early academic independence—without relying on screens or overstimulating technology.

This charming, skill-packed program empowers little learners to become confident readers, thinkers, and problem-solvers while having fun with their fluffy classroom companions—our wise and wonderful Basset Hounds!

Basset Brain Academy is designed for children aged 4–5. However, some students may show readiness even earlier.

  1. Review the Program Map to understand the weekly sequence and learning goals.
  2. Sound out all letters carefully, as guided. Have your child repeat after you.
  3. Set a daily routine, dedicating at least 15- 20 minutes per segment (Language, Math, and Thinking).
  4. Create a learning-friendly environment—well-lit, quiet, and comfortable.
  5. Use pencil grips to support correct pencil handling.
  6. Spark excitement! Treat the Academy as a magical school experience.
  7. Teach organization: Store workbooks in the Academy House after each session.
  8. Celebrate progress with weekly rewards an praise!
  9. Use included manipulatives to reinforce concepts like colors and shapes.

  No problem! You may:

  • Photocopy any page for repetition
  • Erase pencil markings (workbooks are printed on glossy, high-quality paper)
  • Repeat exercises as often as needed to build mastery

  Try the following:

  • Use a playful tone during lessons
  • Point to colorful illustrations and ask questions
  • Create mini-stories around images
  • Remind your child about the fun prize waiting at the end of the session

  • Model correct letter sounds and ask your child to repeat them
  • Encourage your child to use a “reading finger” to track letters and words
  • Read new words or sentences aloud first, then have your child echo
  • Repetition builds confidence—practice reading words and sentences several times
